Expectations towards the Formulation of a Ocean Grand Plan including an EEZ Vision

There doesn't seem to be much positive effort being made to include EEZ into ministerial policy, but actual plans for Japanese ocean policy are being put forward from a variety of different perspectives by a variety of organizations. Using these as a stepping-stone, it is now important to commit to a succession of open talks, without turning a blind eye on the various taboos and constraints that exist.

Why is it that conventional policy to protect our coastal environment is not suitable for all regions of our country? Is it not time to move away from an emphasis on quantified and universal investigations and more towards research on the protection of local environments, which have strong individual and regional traits?

There are now very few beaches on our planet where trash doesn't exist. An enomous amount of fragmented trash also floats on out ocean surfaces. The only beings that discard trash that don't return to a natural form are humans. The only beings who can return the oceans to their natural form are also humans.
